Pluralistic Leadership is a governance design framework examining how authority, knowledge, and decision-making are structured within philanthropic institutions operating under conditions of complexity, uncertainty, and rapid social change.
At the center of the framework is the concept of Institutional Intelligence — an institution’s capacity to interpret complex conditions, integrate multiple forms of expertise, and make informed decisions under uncertainty.
The framework explores how governance design influences institutional learning, leadership composition, and the integration of proximate expertise within philanthropic leadership systems.
